Zhumagali Magziev worked in leadership positions for about 40 years. He was the head of the district department of culture, the head of the Agadyr communications center, the akim of the village of Agadyr, the director of several Karaganda colleges. And at the dawn of our country's independence, he was a young teacher, a geography teacher, and worked as the director of a rural school.
After successfully graduating from the Dzhezkazgan Pedagogical Institute with a degree in "Teacher of Geography and Biology", Zhumagali Magziev returned to his native land, where he began to engage in social work. Three years later, he joined the ranks of the Communist Party. In 1987, he was appointed to the post of director of the Kyzyltau secondary school in the village named after Karim Mynbaev. In 1994, he was appointed head of the Agadyr Department of Culture, where he worked until the abolition of the district in 1997.
In 1997, Zhumagali Magziev became deputy akim, and then akim of the village of Agadyr.
In 2011, he was offered to return to the field of education and head the Karaganda Professional Lyceum No. 26, which already under him received the status of a college and began to be called a technical and construction college.
In 2014, he was transferred to the post of director of the Karaganda College of Technology and Service, where he worked until September 2023.
